How would you describe trainings in your business?
Um, what training?
We only train when needed.
We try to train on a regular basis.
All trainings are structured and happen at a set schedule.
If you wanted to sell your business and a potential buyer came to see how it functions, what would they find?
A business that works only because I am there making it work.
Some written reference detailing how the business functions.
They will find a business that works because the systems work. Complete, detailed manual(s) of how the business functions from A-Z including a strategic protocol for system implementation, review, maintenance, and training.
How would you describe systems in your business?
Not sure what you mean.
What systems? We do what we need to do to make things happen.
We have systems but they are rarely reviewed, updated, and trained on.
Systems run my business and I hire people to run the systems.
Systems are the only option.

100% verbal. I need something done and I tell/ask an employee to do it.
Verbal with some written reference.
I provide a clear, written system for the task/activity I am delegating and check for understanding.
Which tasks/activities are you likely to delegate?
Everything that I don’t want to do.
Whatever comes up that I don’t want to do or I don’t think I should do.
The tasks/ activities that I do but should be part of another position.
No need to delegate. Only things on my plate are specifically what I want to be doing in business.

It’s too stressful to think about.
My business doesn’t function unless I am there.

When you train with your team do you follow a clear, written system?
What training?
No, but we get it done.

I don’t want to think about it.
The basics would get done but with major holes.
They could step in and make it work. The job would get done but there would be some holes.
