The post hoc fallacy is committed when one attempts to argue that A caused B, simply because A occurred before B.

I stayed up all night to study for AS exam, and then I got an “A” for it. Therefore staying up late caused me to get an A for the exam.

People who work in high-stressed jobs with little control are more likely to die sooner. June died earlier than Annie. Therefore, June’s death was caused by working in a high-stressed environment for a long period of time as compared to Annie.
