A. I ask a couple of Erik’s closest colleagues what they think about the mistake Erik made. Maybe there’s something I’ve missed?
B. I think it’s important to trust Erik and let him make mistakes. That’s how we all learn. I don’t do anything in particular and hope no-one talks about the mistake.
C. I schedule a meeting to give Erik feedback. I have to make sure he understands I’m disappointed and that I don’t want to experience anything similar again.
D. I send an email to Erik and tell him about the consequences of his action. In the same email I ask him if I could have done something differently to support him to avoid this mess? It must be something I’ve done wrong since Erik’s usually trustworthy.
