FBA stands for

The FBA focuses beyond the demonstrated behaviour, to identify different factors such as social, biological, affective and environmental.

The purpose of the FBA is to provide information to the support team to assist them in designing positive learning support plans.

Collect information on possible functions of the target behaviour, using direct and indirect measures. There are four tools: scatter plot, ABC chart, interview and observation.

FACTS interview is usually up to 30 minutes.

The FBA is a quick, one-step way to gather details about events that predict and maintain a student's problem behaviour.

The FBA looks beyond a student’s behaviour and focuses on identifying academic factors that can lead to problematic behaviour.

There are two basic methods for collecting data—direct and indirect.

The more data you collect, the more accurate the picture of the student’s problem behavior and possible contributing factors.
