Proposition 1: FAAB Waivers.

Moving from a continual rolling list waiver system into a FAAB w/ Continual rolling list tiebreak.

Detailed information below:

We are currently on a continual rolling list system, that starts by giving the team with the 12th pick in the draft the 1st waiver priority. As waivers are used, the order can change. This amendment change would move us into a FAAB system. (with continual rolling list being our tiebreaker format)

FAAB Waivers

Free Agent Acquisition Budgets (FAAB) add another level of realism to the game. Not only do you have to think about the best players to draft, but you also have to take into account your team's acquisition budget.

In a FAAB waivers system, each manager receives a dollar amount to place blind bids on players that are on waivers. The manager with the highest bid at the end of the waiver period claims that player and that bid amount is deducted from the team's acquisition budget.

FAAB Rules

  • The FAAB doesn't apply to free-agent pickups.
  • Bids are hidden to other managers until a player clears waivers. The winning bid will display in the Transaction log.
  • Players with multiple bids placed on them will display under "FAAB Bids" on a league's Transactions log.
  • The FAAB system charges you the exact amount you bid if your bid is successful.
  • The FAAB budget for teams is $200.
  • There isn't an option to force managers to make a minimum bid amount.
  • The waiver priority will only change if 2 or more managers bid the same exact dollar amount on the same player.
  • Tiebreakers in which two managers bid the same amount on the same player will be resolved by a continual rolling list.

This proposition would implement a keeper system into our league. There are many different types of keeper settings that we can discuss and try to come to an agreement on in the case that this proposition is passed. This proposition is simply for the general idea of implementing a keeper system, not for any specific type of keeper system.
