Does Your Interior Style Feature Your Emotional Baggage?

Do you accept gifts of family heirlooms and/ or friend hand-me downs even if they’re not your style?
Yes, I can’t let those things go because they are important in some way and might be usable
Yes, but I wish I could figure out how to say “No thank you.”
No. I have no place or use for it.
Yes, and I appreciate them thinking of me.
Do you have a junk drawer, or room that you always plan to tackle some day?
Of course. Doesn’t everybody?

Yes, but it doesn’t bother me.
No. My house is perfectly organized.
Do you have colors or styles or certain design elements in your home that you dislike but can’t figure out why?
Yes, I keep picking the wrong shade of paint. Every time I think I’ve got it, it’s not quite right.
I do in some rooms, but not all.
All of my rooms have some part of it that I’m not happy with.

No. There’s not a room in my home where I can get any privacy.

I have a few rooms that make me feel this way, but others I love.
Yes. My entire house has beautiful taste and style. But it’s just …not mine.
Do you have difficulty justifying new interior design expenses or home projects?
Never. When I decide something needs to be done it is taken care of.
Almost always. I have a perfectly fine house, even though it’s not my style. I feel grateful for what I have now so I can’t complain.
I sometimes drag my feet starting new projects because of the time it takes to make so many decisions, or I’m worried I’ll make the wrong design choice.
Do you second-guess your design choices?
Yes. It takes me forever to make a decision.
No. I’m always confident about my style.
Sometimes, if I’m trying something new or outside of my comfort zone.

Yes. It makes me break out in hives just thinking about it.

No. My home is immaculate.
Do you find your current home a place of respite, relaxation, and reconnection?
I have some areas where I feel this way, but not the entire home.
I don’t have this feeling anywhere in my home.
I am constantly creating this feeling throughout my entire home and I’ve pretty much nailed it.
I go on vacation if I want to feel this way.
