Residential Landscapes Test: Discover Your Preferences
Welcome! Thank you for your interest in my research.
In this 10-20 minute survey for my MA Landscape architecture dissertation, you will be presented with a series of images from contemporary residential landscapes across the UK and asked to assign up to three adjectives and ratings that correspond to your impressions of these projects. There are 20 projects in total and feel free to be as detailed or brief as you like in any open ended sections. Your responses will help me to better understand how we might create sustainable, liveable environments for the future.

At the end, you'll be presented with four types of residential landscape I've identified in my studies and a percentage score out of 100 indicating your preferences for each. The score corresponds with star ratings you give for the following questions:

- Factor in architectural features and how they contribute to the overall atmosphere, but pay extra attention to the physical landscapes/environment and their impact
- Consider how you might feel if you were standing in, or even living in these landscapes
- Think about how the place may look during different seasons and weather conditions
- Each set of pictures is from the same residential development, so even if they vary consider them as a whole set
- Please add your own adjectives using 'other' if you feel the provided ones aren't sufficient
- It may help to think of the three star rating system as representing 'poor/average/good'
