How often do you go online for news?
I constantly check news sources I find credible and reliable

I come across news when on Social Media, but don't go searching for more sources unless it's really interesting
I try to avoid news completely, ignorance is bliss...
When you come across news article online, what do you look for first?
The source and author, as well as whoever is sharing the information. Primarily looking for news sources I recognize, shared by people I find reliable.
The title, of course! I don't even need to read the entire article because the headline tells me the news.
Pictures, graphs, or memes, and if it doesn't have one of those, I'll probably end up scrolling past it without noticing.
I only read articles if they seem interesting enough, usually depending on the title of the article.
What makes you most likely to share a source of news?
If it's funny, I'll share it.
I will only share it if it is reliable, informative, and useful.
I don't share things I find online. Maybe I'll "like" something, but it's rare.
Everything online is true, so it it's cool, I'm sharing it!
What would make you most skeptical or suspicious about a potential news source?
I don't recognize the source and there is a lack of evidence or references within the article.
The article has a clear political agenda.
I already told you... Everything on the internet is true!!
Everything online is trying to trick you. If you want the real news, read the paper.
Does this headline and source seem suspicious to you?
No, while the story might seem weird or irrelevant, that doesn't mean it's not true.
Yes, I do not recognize or find "Southern War Cry" or "TatterGonnaTate.com" as reliable sources of news.
I don't know. It could be fact or fake!
No, the internet never lies.
What about this headline, source, and article? Is it suspicious?
Yes, clearly the source shows an obvious political agenda.
No. I don't like Trump, so this must be true.
No, the internet has no reason to lie.
I'm not sure, would have to look at the full article to know for sure.
When looking for sources of news, what is most important to you?
Reliability and trustworthiness of the source.
Humor and entertainment. If it's not funny or interesting, then why did they post it?
Debate and Call-outs. There is a lot of "fake news" out there, so I only trust sources that actively combat and ridicule the mainstream "Fake News" sources.
Whoever said/wrote it. I only want to hear experts and doctors talk about Covid-19, everyone else should just listen.
I do not seek out any form of news.
How to you feel about this headline and source?
Clearly the source has an agenda, and I do not appreciate their fear-mongering.
This seems far-fetched... Probably false, but who knows?
A US Congresswomen secretly working for the terrorists? Not only is this true, but I knew it all along!
There is no way to know if it is honest or not, just have to hope whoever wrote it is being genuine.
How often would you say you come across "fake" or very suspicious news articles and sources?
Everyday. In fact, they are impossible to avoid.
Only posted by my grandma or crazy uncle.
I don't usually see them when surfing the internet.
I've already said this, but the internet doesn't lie, nothing gets posted if it isn't a fact.
Every once in a while. But when I do see them, they are usually really obvious.
Last Question! Almost Done! In regards to the questions you just answered, as well as your daily online routine, would you consider yourself digitally literate?

Yes, I take pride my ability to find and analyze accurate and reliable information.
Honestly, no.. I guess I'm just pretty gullible
Yes, although I think everyone is vulnerable to some sort of fake news.
