Welcome to the ACE Anesthesia Coding Skills Assessment. Each page of the assessment will begin with documentation for a real anesthesia care case. Review the documentation and enter the appropriate codes in the fields provided.
- Please code:
- Primary surgical CPT code
- Primary ASA code
- ICD-10 code
- Must be entered in all caps, must include the "dot", and must be fully qualified, billable diagnosis.
- If a secondary code is needed, separate codes with a comma
- If additional ICD10 code(s) are required to support an ancillary service code, separate codes with a comma (e.g. M17.11, G89.18)
- Ancillary services when applicable
- Required modifiers for these codes should be appended to the code after a dash in order of priority (e.g. 36620-GC).
- If multiple services need to be coded, separate with a comma (e.g. 36620, 36556)
