Homestuck Aspect
Which statement to you agree with more?
I need to have my schedule figured out if I want to take a break.
I need to have my physical surroundings organized to relax.
Both are important to me, but mostly my schedule.
Both are important to me, but mostly my surroundings.
If you start a project, what matters most to you?
Making it perfect. If I start a project, I can't relax until it's done, and it has to be done right.
I start projects because I enjoy them - If I don't enjoy the work, I won't finish the project!
The result. If I don't think it's going to be good, I might give up and try something else.
Having fun is the important part, but I can't just abandon it half-finished because I lost steam.
Are you patient?
I am a very patient person. I can wait, so long as there's a good reason for it.
I'm not patient at all. I get anxious when I have to wait, and will do my best to hurry things along. If there's nothing I can do, it only makes me more anxious.
I'm pretty patient, but if something should have been done a long time ago, I'm not afraid to say so.
I'm impatient. If something is slow, I'll try to hurry it up. That said, I know that sometimes there's nothing I can do.
Which describes you better?
I have to be involved with everything, no matter how small.
I love my friends, but I don't like to be constantly bombarded by them. They often try to interact with me when I'm just not feeling it.
I like to be included, and often seek attention, but I occasionally need time to myself.
I like spending time with my friends If they want to hang out, I'm all for it, but I rarely seek it out myself.
If you had to spend a year without civilization or technology, could you? That would mean no friends, family, or internet.
Not in a million years. I need constant attention and validation.
I would love to unplug. I think a lot of people could benefit from that sort of thing.
Only if you paid me a LOT of money. And let me use paper letters or something. I can't survive in TOTAL isolation.
I would, but I would get lonely. Does it have to be a whole year? Can I at least bring a pet? Or some books?
Something terrible has happened!
Fix it. There's always a way.
Accept it. Move on.
Do damage-control. It may be too late to stop it, but maybe you can minimize the effects.
It's too late this time, but you have to prevent this from happening again!
Do you believe that people wear "masks?"
Everyone wears masks, all the time. It's how humanity functions. Without masks, nobody would get along and society would crumble.
No. People just adapt to their current surroundings. Even if they call it a "mask," it's a part of them. People who say otherwise are in denial about who they are.
People need to wear masks in certain situations, but that doesn't mean they're always "faking it." They're just presenting their best self.
People are faceted. That means sometimes they act differently around different people. Sometimes you might lie about who you are to fit in, though.
Which is more important?
Completing your character arc.
Beating the final boss.
Fulfilling your destiny.
Finishing the main quest.
You have a very hard, morally grey decision to make. How do you choose?
Whichever option makes me feel better about who I am as a person. If I have to sacrifice myself, I'll do it. Even if I don't have to sacrifice myself for everything to work out, I might still do it.
Whichever option provides the optimal outcome, even if that means someone has to die. I'm not afraid to tell someone else to die for the good of the rest of us. I'm willing to make the decisions nobody else wants to make.
Whichever option gives my friends the best outcome, even if I have to sacrifice myself. I won't let anyone else sacrifice if I can do it instead.
Whichever option is the best, but I'll only tell someone else to sacrifice themselves if it's the only option.
You have a problem with many different possible solutions. How do you solve it?
Do what feels right, no matter what.
Make a list of options, and cross them off one by one until you have the solution.
Follow your gut, unless you clearly made a mistake.
Make a list and throw a dart at the list. If you don't like the one the dart picked, cross it off and try again. If you like it, then you like it.
Do you find it hard to make major decisions?
No. I may change my mind later, but I know what I want now, and that's what matters.
No, it can sometimes be overwhelming, but I can always decide on the best choice if I take my time.
Yes. It's hard to be certain what I want, and what if I change my mind?
Yes, there are so many possible choices, and comparing them is sometimes like apples and oranges!
Do you care how people you work with see you?
No. All that matters is how I view myself.
No. If we succeed together, that speaks for itself. They don't have to like me, just like the results I get.
Yes, I care about my image a lot. If people don't like me, I don't like me.
Yes, because we can't do well together if we don't get along.
You were raised your entire life to do things a particular way, and now someone is proposing a different way to do it. How does this make you feel?
Angry. My way is clearly better, and they should know that. I tell them so, to their face.
Excited. Sometimes, it's important to change, and old-fashioned ideas can always be replaced with better ones.
Annoyed. I won't attack them for trying to change things, but I'll point out any flaws I see in their proposal. I don't want to change... But I will if I have to.
Interested. I like the way I do things, but I'm open to change - but I may be stubborn if the new way doesn't actually seem better in my eyes.
You just found out that a friend you trust has been lying to you about something very important - it could even be life or death. What's your reaction?
I flip my lid. How dare they, first of all, and how FUCKING dare they, second of all. I hate liars. This could ruin our friendship for good.
I'm hurt that they didn't trust me, but I assume they had a good reason. I trust them, even if they don't trust me.
I acknowledge that they might have had a good reason if they did, but I don't forgive them. Not yet, at least. I'll probably ignore them or give them the silent treatment for a while.
I'm mad that they lied to me, but nobody got hurt, so I can't hold it against them that much. I'll forgive them if they seem remorseful.
