Suet Li '12 - "As the community grows in size and maturity, I envision more connections being made socially and in impacting our shared commitment towards education. My former role in the movement had been to enable both, and it'll be a privilege to continue driving that as part of the Alumni Board"

Deborah Dris '13 - "I believe in getting to know each other within and beyond our regions, looking past our cohorts and only then start thinking about starting stuff. We need to ensure more voices are heard and that opportunities are open for everyone in the entire alumni community."

Calvin Tan '15 - "My personal vision: to have great pride being an Alumni as we fan the flame in our spheres of influences on the change we make at every opportunity. We need to recognise the realities that we are operating in, and restructure ourselves to be a meaningful reckoning force in society."

Melissa Kong '14 - "I'm currently Operations Lead for PSP, and have enjoyed organizing and communicating socials and panels for alumni to come and meet each other and the incoming cohort. (PLEASE COME!) Having served on the Alumni Board before, I am aware of the limitations faced and have a more realistic sense of what is achievable and essential to the building the movement."

Alicia Low '14 - "I’m Alicia, a 2014 alumna. I am currently the EAL Teacher at Australian International School Malaysia, where I get to puzzle over language acquisition on a daily basis. Post-Fellowship, I have remained connected to TFM as an Alumni Selector. When my educator mode is switched off, I am usually reading, writing, crafting or taking pictures."

Huda '15 - "I'm just another girl who happen to survive the fellowship in 'luar bandar' Miri, Sarawak. I just don't know why I can understand bahasa Sarawak/Iban until today. I do like to share my experiences in a calm and friendly voice, according to my peers and students. I don't know why they too like to tell me their stories in return. I do always see patterns; observant to details; noticing small coincidences. I don't know why it seems like I have superpowers when I happen to 'connect the dots'."

Wan Ying '16 - "I am a 2016 fellow and a soon-to-be alumni. I taught in Pasir Gudang, Johor. I have worked 4 years as a pharmaceutical researcher before joining the fellowship. I enjoy running and outdoor activities. Also, good food makes me very happy!"

Yi-Yang Chua '14 - "I empathise with the disconnectedness within the alumni. I want to better understand and solve this problem, because a disconnected movement is no movement. Besides, I facilitated RM123,750 between 57 “lenders” and 22 teachers for the Teacher Advancement Salary since 2016--scary in hindsight. I want to improve this too."

Pui Ting '15 - "I am extroverted introvert. I can be sociable, but also love my alone time. I love working with youth and see them grow in their learning journey. I believe everyone can be changemaker and see the world we wish. Be part of alumni community means having a group of peeps that will understand you in certain context no matter which cohort you are from."

Ellen Chong '15 - "I believe that the alumni community is a precious one and one that needs nurturing in order to propel the alumni movement further."
