1. How does the solar PV system works in Malaysia?
Based on NEM policy, solar energy harness the thermal energy of the sun to heat water via solar hot water systems.
During the day, you power your premises using solar energy, which lowers your dependency on your utility company, and if you produce more than you consume, you can sell the excess energy back to your utility company via Net Metering (NEM) which may be used to offset part of electricity bill
Sunlight hits the solar panels and creates an electrical field. The electricity generated flows to the edge of the panel, and into a conductive wire. The conductive wire brings the electricity to the inverter, where it is transformed from DC electricity to AC, which is used to power buildings.
When the sun shines onto a solar panels. When the sun shines onto a solar panel, energy from the sunlight is absorved by the PV cells in the panel. This energy creates electrical charges that move in response to an internal electrical field in the cell, causing electricity to flow.
