My sisters pushed me off a two-story balcony and then hid. My dad found me and thought I was dead. Luckily, I wasn't.
When I was about three years old, my mum and her best friend took me to a mini-carnival. There was too much going on in the fair itself for me to enjoy, so we ended up at a cafe just outside. My hat fell off, and I could hear the noise/music from the fair, so I started to dance like the world's youngest busking performer. Some people saw the hat and the fair and decided to put coins in my hat while I continued to shimmy very badly. My mum tried to chase down the people and give their money back, but her best friend told her not to, just to see how much I could earn. That was the first time I earned enough cold, hard cash to afford a fancy magnum ice cream. I've been hustling ever since.
As a child, I would dip my chicken nuggets into my milo.
When I was a kid, I thought having a cast for a broken arm was so cool. My friend and I kept jumping out of trees to try and break our arms so we could have cool casts and get all our friends to sign them... To this day I've never succeeded in breaking a single bone in my body.
When we were going fishing in the early hours of the morning, while Dad was fishing, my sister and I were busy giving away the bait and our pineapple pies to the seagulls. Very lucky Dad caught a few flounders that morning lol!
I was the ONLY competitor in my rhythmic gymnastics competition... and I came third. Why you may ask? My entire family was there to watch me and I was so anxious that I made a lot of mistakes. For example, my hoop landed under the judge's table and I had to crawl under there and get it. My ball also ended up in the audience... My scores were so low that the judges said it only warranted a bronze... In my career I got 32 gold medals and this was my only bronze lol.
My husband and I met when we were 14... But a few years ago we were looking through old keepsakes and we found out we were both in the same kid's modelling magazine (the type that businesses can select kids from for modelling jobs). At the time I was 5 and he was 7. So really we connected as little kids! I don't think either of us ever got selected for any modelling jobs... rude!
I won a fancy dress competition when I was 5 years old. I dressed up as a clown and won 'Best Dressed Boy.'
When I was 10 my cousin pushed me over and I fell onto a plank of wood - the plank of wood happened to have a large bolt sticking out . When I started to push myself up I realised the bolt was lodged into my shin and I was not attached to the wooden plank. Long story short, my dad had to hold me up while we waited for the ambulance - only to find out we needed the fire department to cut the bolt off the wood. 1 fire truck later and they didn't have the correct bolt cutter. 3 fire trucks later and we were able to cut the bolt off (I could feel the bolt knock against my bone when they cut it). No stiches but I still have the bolt and a matching scar
