Fighting Game Selector 2016

How important should memory be?
As unimportant as possible. Allow me to go straight into competing.
Mostly unimportant. Once you have the basics, you should be able to play the real game.
Important. Players should have to get over an initial barrier before getting into the meat of the game.
Extremely important. You should never run out of new setups and tech to learn how to use or deal with.
Would you rather see an honest game, or a gimmicky one?
Completely honest. I want the entire game to be decided by fundimentals.
Somewhat honest. Gimmicks are good, but if they dominate, it gets stale.
Somewhat gimmicky. I'm willing to sacrifice a bit of honesty for more hype moments.
Completely gimmicky. Fundamentals are boring. More setups, 50/50s, and blockstrings please.
How do you feel about combo length.
Short is sweet. I don't want to sit around letting numbers rack up all day.
I'm for a middle of the road approach. It's fun seeing some larger combos at times, but I don't want them to be the norm.
Combos all day. Longer the better.
Why even have combos end? I want infinite combos everywhere I look.
How difficult do you want execution?
I can't even play normal fighting games. Give me one button special moves and shit.
Execution should not dictate the winner. Keep it simple.
Execution is an important factor that makes some strong moves harder to land. Moderate levels of execution add depth.
You shouldn't be able to even play the game unless you can do just frame moves.
How mobile do you want things?
Not at all. I like my fights on the ground, thank you.
Somewhat mobile. Don't just keep me in one place the whole time!
Very mobile. Give me multiple options to move around besides walking and dashing.
Lets put it this way: If you're not moving, you should be attacking or being comboed.
What about speed?
Slower pace makes it easier for players to make good decisions, so I'll take that one.
Though I prefer a slower pace, I want it fast enough that things are constantly engaging.
Slow games are boring, fast games require more risk and defensive skill.
What's your preference in the roster?
A small but diverse roster is fine. Let me grow with my game.
I want a decent size roster, don't rob me of choices.
If I don't have 30+ Characters playable, don't invite me.
Stylistically, do you have any turn-offs?
I don't like 3D games.
I don't like Anime.
I don't like Western games.
No preference.
How active should the competitive scene be?
Doesn't matter to me.
I prefer a larger community, but not the most active one.
Games that some would call "Dead" have the most tight knit scenes, so I'll go with those.
I want as many opponents as possible. Competition is important.
What's your take on single player content?
I don't play single player.
I mean, I don't need it, but a little is nice!
I want a full blown single player mode and plenty of content.
An arcade mode is all I need. However, having a mode that tells you the story isn't terrible either.
What's your definition of a fighting game?
I mean, I only play capcom games, so who cares?
Only 2D games should be included.
Smash isn't a fighting game.
TBQH, I only like 3D fighting games.
Smash is a fighting game, no matter how butthurt it makes other people.
