Do you know your High Holiday greetings?

For pretty much every Jewish holiday, you're safe wishing people "chag sameach," or happy holiday; "yom tov" has a similar effect. Ashkenazim also often wish people a "gut yontif" on most holidays.

But during the month of Tishrei, which is crammed with holidays, many of the individual occasions have specific greetings.

Let's start off with which holidays take place during this time period:
Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish new year
Yom Kippur, Day of Atonement
Sukkot, or the Festival of the Booths
Shemini Atzeret
Simchat Torah
Purim
Hanukkah
Shavuot
What's the traditional greeting for Rosh Hashanah?
Shana tova u'metuka! (A good and sweet year)
Shana hadash sameach! (Happy new year)
L'tapuchim v'dvash! (To apples and honey)
Yalla Rosh Hashanah (Let's go new year)
What are some options for Yom Kippur? (check all that apply)
Tzom kal (easy fast)
Ra'av gam li (I, too, am hungry)
Gmar chatima tova (may you be sealed in the Book of Life)
Chalash hayom, chazak machar (weak today, strong tomorrow)
For Sukkot, most people stick with the basic holiday greetings. But if you wanted to say something more specific, especially during the middle days of the week-long holiday, what would you choose?
Bo'u le'echol ba'chutz! (Let's go eat outside!)
Etrog mushlam (a perfect etrog)
Eizeh sukkah yafeh (what a beautiful sukkah)
Moadim l'simchah (may your times be happy)
OK, people really don't say anything special on the last two holidays, Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah.

But they're fun, celebratory days when the Torah scroll is rolled back to the beginning and paraded through the streets. There's dancing, feasting and, often, a lot of drinking.

You'll want to be sure you have something celebratory to say to your tipsy brethren in the streets — so let's review our basic greetings (check all that apply):
Chag sameach! (Happy holiday!)
Gut Yontif (Happy holiday)
Chagim yehudim! (Jewish holidays!)
t'shtu et zeh! (You all should drink this!)
