Which DECA Event Is Right for You?

How familiar are you with DECA?

I took Marketing/Accounting and now I'm part of this, but I have no clue what it is.

I've heard that it's kind of like FBLA, but I've never done DECA before.

I have not done DECA, but I know what it is and what it does.

I have been part of DECA before.

How do you prepare for a presentation?

I tend to procrastinate, but it does not go well.

I tend to procrastinate, but I work well under a short deadline and always end up with my head above water.

I take it one step at a time and put in the effort to make it good.

I go all out and do everything to make sure that my presentation is the best, going as far as looking for my own materials and doing what nobody else even thinks of.

How well do you work with others?

I cannot stand to work with others; they hold me back from doing my best work.

I can work with others, but only for short periods of time and only if they contribute.

I can work with other people fairly, but only if they are willing to collaborate with me and help with the goal.

I can work with other people and pick up the slack if they don't meet expectations.

Can you come up with ideas and solutions on the fly?

The pressure of a time limit is too much for me; I have to prepare a lot before proposing something to a judge or a panel of judges.

I can provide concise solutions with a somewhat limited prep, but I prefer to have a good amount of prep time.

I can come up with solutions on the fly, but only if somebody is helping me come up with ideas as well.

I work best under a lot of pressure and can solve a problem with very limited time.

How are you with tests?

I am bad with exams because I often forget to study the material.

I am bad with exams because testing environments stress me out so much.

I am fair with exams and I put in a good amount of studying so I know what I'm in for.

I am great with exams and I often over-prepare for them so I can do my absolute best!
