There are certain instruments that are in high demand for college scholarship purposes (oboe, bassoon, french horn, tuba). Is the student interested in any of these?

Being a percussionist requires performance on many instruments and requires someone who is able to manage time well. There will also be a short rhythm test with the band director before being assigned to the percussion section. As a result of the multiple instruments, the student must practice twice as much as all other band members.
