Listen, if I want to wander off to some totally different country, I should be able to do it.
I like a choose-your-own-adventure sort of model. Lots of ways to accomplish the task, but still clearly systematic.
A little freedom's fine, but I like to know where I'm going and what I'm doing without having to debate it.
Honestly, rail-roading is fine with me if the plot's good.
