I suggest reading the first part of QUEEN to get to know the realm earlier on! Anyway, here's a summary to help.
-The Hearts are a powerful kingdom (and the biggest). Formerly known as the Northern Kingdom, they specialize in the forgotten arts and magic. If you choose to reside in the Heart Kingdom, later contestants might have to be minor characters. Some occupations in the Heart Kingdom are: beast hunter, mage/magic user, librarian, priest, mentor, warrior, etc.
-The Diamonds are the second biggest and a powerful kingdom. They specialize in the army and the government and ban the use of all magic, except for the Imagination. If you choose to reside in Diamond, you'll be working with a group to overthrow the Diamonds or you might be working with the Diamonds.
-The Spades have always been shrouded in mystery. Before closing off their borders, they have been known to practice the art of necromancy, elemental magics, and other forms. They were formerly known as the City of Wonder. Occupations include: assassin, spies, rogues, mage, warrior, etc.
-The Clubs were once a respected kingdom and an equal, before it was poisoned by it's ruling family. If you are part of the Clubs Kingdom, you will be working in a rebellion against the royal family.
