Forex Tester 4 Features
We constantly improve our software, and we sincerely care about our users' opinion about it. Before implementing new features into Forex Tester 4, we decided to ask our users to share their ideas about what they lack in the current version of the Forex Tester and how it is possible to make our backtesting software better.

*An interpreter that can convert any kind of the .mql files to the .dll ones, so you can use easily any custom MetaTrader 4 indicator or EA in Forex Tester*

Do you consider Visual Constructor to be a useful tool that allows creating EAs with a convenient drag&drop interface?
For example, in order to create a simple Moving Average Crossover EA you will just need to:
1. find MA in the list of tools,
2. Drag it to the first location,
3. Drag the same MA tool to the second location,
4. Set the MAs parameters (type, period, shift, display type)
5. Set up the buy condition in a few clicks (if SMA1 crosses the SMA2 from below - open the buy order).
6. Set up the sell condition (if SMA1 crosses the SMA2 from above - open the sell order).
When you complete this process, the .dll and .mq4 files will be generated automatically and will be ready for the import.

We think adding the News Service will add up significantly to the accuracy of your trading decisions. Do you share our opinion?
Forex Tester 3 will include the News Service for free for each customer (approximately will be available in April)
News service will be divided into 3 categories: less important/middle relevance/highly important news.
Owners of FT3 will have access to the most important news only;
FT3 + Standard data owners will be able to make use of middle & highly important news;
FT3 + VIP data owners will get access to all of the news.
Visually it will be represented by the colored flags (each color corresponds to the priority of news) above the timeline of the chart.

Add the search panel to the Indicators' tab - Start typing the Indicator's name and get the hints (it might be uneasy to find the one you need manually)

What of the following settings can help you to manage your data in a more convenient way?
Sorting data from different providers into the separate folders - This way users can download data from different brokers for the same pair and start testing without the necessity to download data from one broker, delete them and then download the data from another broker for the same pair
Verification of data's quantity/quality is needed before starting the test - Before the testing is started, the software will check either the user has enough data of a predifined quality for the testing period and will notify the user if he/she needs to download more data for some pair/pairs
Do you need more chart modes in Forex Tester 4? Candlestick chart mode is a widely used one, however, it is not the only one the trader can trade on.

Toolbar with the favorite graphical tools - Each menu element will contain an opportunity to mark it as favorite. Once that is done, this element will be added to the "Favorite tools" bar from which you can select it in just one click
Editing toolbar for every graphical instrument - The user can edit every graphical instrument right on the chart
Fixation of the linear instruments - Gives the possibility to measure the length of the linear instruments without moving them
Synchronization of the linear instruments on the different charts - after placing the graphical instrument (arrow, for example) on one chart, it appears on other charts automatically if this fun
Saving all the graphical instruments of the project - A dialogue box appears where you can check what graphical instruments you want to save
A mode with drawing lines with 90 degree angles only - A convenient way to place the graphical objects perpendicularly only
Saving the custom colors of the graphical instruments - In case you do not like the default colors of graphical instruments and you want to adjust the custom ones and save them

We believe search tools should be advanced as well. What kind of the search tools can be helpful?
"Go to date" tool - You do not only "jump" to the required date, but the program erases all the candles before the date
"Go to next event" tool - Ability to set the criteria (price close below Bollinger Band or EMA Cross etc.) and Forex Tester will "jump" to that spot without having to watch all the bars in the process
Search tool bar - Start typing anything you need to find (graphical tool or indicator's name etc.) and program will give you follow-to hints
Do you think that implementing alerts would be useful?
*The software will pause testing, show a pop-up, play the sound or send the email every time when the set conditions will be met*

*The alterations will most likely be applied to the colors - we will provide 2 schemes: a light (current) and a dark one. For now, you can only change the color of the chart itself but not the rest of the elements*

We firmly believe that adding a Screener will help our users to compare information about the trading instruments, their volumes in the market, and slight changes of the assets.

We have thought about adding one very useful tool called Depth of the Market - the built-in instrument that shows the volume of the buy/sell trades at the market and the price; and also allows to simply drag the pending orders or/and drag the SL/TP levels. We believe it is an essential tool for scalpers, however, the intraday traders might find it extremely useful as well.

Auto pause - The automated pause after the predefined time/bars have passed
Multipliers at the speed slider - This way you can see how much faster the testing goes (1х, 1,5х, 2х and etc. Times faster)
An additional slider of the chart scrolling speed when the position is opened
Which of the following can help you to "read" the statistic better?
Relative drawdown
Breakdown of the account history into day/week/year
Pips mode in statistics
Check which of the orders settings can help you to backtest better:
... Include the tab to the Market order menu where the user can set the possible amount of the loss

To include the "Undo" button - Return one step back in the case you have deleted by mistake a graphical instrument for example
To include the "Yesterday" button - When you pick the date to start your project with, probably it is more convenient to use "Yesterday" button instead of "Today", because we provide the yesterday data for backtesting
To include Notes and Notepad - Did you have a trading insight while testing? Note it down without leaving the program
To enable/disable Global Cross Hair Cursor for multiple windows
To enable/disable only forward testing
To include the button that can return the chart to the "parent" window with one click after dragging/expanding it
Do you think Date/Time settings should be improved? Can these changes be useful?
Make the end date of the project floating - Define the start date of the testing period and test until you achieve the results you need
Custom time settings - Possibility to set up New York/Tokyo/London sessions
The Ability to restart the project from the chosen date without the necessity to restart the project
Adding tooltips about date and time -Learn the date and time of the particular bar on the chart with the mouse point (you can enable this function within the chart settings)
