Do your employees feel valued at work?

How would you describe your management style?
I don't really have one - I assume everyone is happy at work and doing the best they can.
I love knowing what everyone is working on, what problems they are having, how I can help them if needed, and help them grow in areas they want to develop further
I check in constantly with my employees. I want to make sure they're working hard and accomplishing tasks, and then push them to do even more.
Your team is not performing as well as they normally do this quarter, and numbers are down. How do you handle this? Choose one:
Some quarters are just better than others. It's probably not anyone's fault, and these kinds of things usually correct themselves.
We have a team meeting to discuss possible root causes. I ask everyone their input and suggestions for improvement, and then offer resources and support to my team, hoping this motivates them to feel empowered and succeed.
Assume my employees just aren't working hard enough. Give them an ultimatum - and tell them some people could lose their jobs if we don't get our numbers up.
Which values are most important on the team you lead? Choose one:
Having a calm, stress-free environment without conflict
Working cohesively as a group, providing opportunities for leadership, and showing kindness & gratitude for each other often
Getting done what needs to get done. After all, we are a business first
One of your employees just exceeded quota for the month. What do you do in response? Choose one:
You congratulate them in person, and tell them to keep it up.
You congratulate them with a hand-written note and token of your appreciate, and publicly acknowledge their hard work in the next team meeting.
You do not say much, besides "Good work. Let's see if you can beat your record next month."
No one on your team has stepped up yet to guide the new intern with their projects. How do you proceed? Choose one:
Step back, and let your team figure this one out on their own.
Have a meeting, where you discuss this new opportunity. Ask for volunteers, and offer a small incentive for whoever steps up.
Reprimand your staff, and then assign your least favorite employee to help the intern.
One of your workers seems to be struggling with a project at work. How do you react? Choose one:
I give them time to figure it out on their own. After all, they can always ask me if they really need help...
I ask them directly what I can do to help, and offer any resources or support necessary. I also encourage a more experienced worker to offer help and guidance to them.
I bombard them with questions, asking why they are not performing well, offering no suggestions of ways to help. They need to figure it out - it's their job.
How often do you show gratitude for your team, above saying "thank you"? Choose one:
I thank everyone in our team meetings, and tell everyone my door is always open if they need anything. Other than that, I assume employees will come to me if they're unhappy
At least weekly--we have team outings and happy hours, and I regularly give shout-outs to hard-working employees in our company e-newsletter.
Not often. I definitely thank them, but I don't think much else is required of a boss.
