Work Suspension, Work Resumption and Contract Time Extension

It is a written order to the contractor issued by the DPWH Project Engineer/ Engineer’s Representative and approved by the duly authorized DPWH officials to suspend the contract work wholly or partly for such period as may be deemed necessary

It is the active DPWH issuance for the Implementation of the Document Tracking System for Civil Works Projects.

It is a written order issued by the DPWH Project Engineer/ Engineer’s Representative and approved by the concerned Head of the I.O. To the contractor to resume construction operation covered by a previous Work Suspension Order, after the cause of or reason for the work suspension has been resolved.

It is the active DPWH issuance for the approval of Work Suspension Order, Resume Order and Contract Time Extension for Civil Work Projects.

It is a written authority, issued by the DPWH Project Engineer and approved by the duly authorized DPWH Officials, prior to the contract expiration, granting the contractor additional time beyond the approved completion in order to carry out remaining works or any additional works, on account of other special circumstances that warrant such additional contract time.

Sworn Contractor’s / Affidavit of Quit Claim is one of documentary requirements of D.O. 11, series of 2021 for the processing of request for Work Suspension Order.

Pre-determined rainy/unworkable calendar days for the project should be exhausted first prior to grant of contract time extension due to rainy / unworkable days.

Work Suspension Order should be requested for intermittent suspension due to rainy / unworkable days.

Issuance of W.S.O./C.W.S.O. Is not an automatic extension of contract time.

Pursuant to Department Order No. 42, series of 2021, the Project / Bureau Director may approve such request for W.S.O. / C.T.E. Up to 90 calendar days.
