May present with enlarged rugal folds w/ generalized thickening of mucosal layer.

Inflammation & thinning of mucosal layer of stomach

Found most often in ileum, young males and most affects submucosal layer

Best organ in GI tract to examine by ultrasound

If stomach IS distended >8cm, bowel wall should measure...

Arises from mucosa of stomach, very common dx, 2nd leading cause of cancer related death in world

Inflammation starting in rectal region, unknown cause though HTN or autoimmune are suspected. Bowel wall appears thickened & is usually HYPOechoic
