Would you go on a date with me?

This is last minute, I know

I wanted to wait until the show,

but I realize it's a Thursday,

and that's your long day.

I bought these tickets long ago,

Before I knew how staffing day could blow

Or before I knew your weekend was packed,

Hopefully your morning won't have an impact.

If you don't want to go, I understand,

I can always find a concert friend,

Well I could at least try my best,

But you would outweigh the rest.

No white walls and no moped,

No thrift shopping (which I dread),

Just spending the evening downtown,

I really don't think Mack will let you down.

We've got tickets in which you will have a seat,

Hopefully your day doesn't leave you too beat.

I hope you can be glorious for the night,

and we can feel the same love in the concert lights!
