If a client’s family calls you to request information you are not allowed to give that information to them.

A client’s phone number is not considered confidential information.

It is OK to throw away your old time sheets in the garbage.

If you give out a client’s confidential information it could result in serious consequences at work.

Keeping your clients information protected is a law & must be done at all times.

Talking about your client to other caregivers who care for the client is allowed.

Time sheets should be kept in a secure place to avoid a problem with confidentiality.

It is not permitted to speak about your client with other caregivers while you are not at work.

Patient confidentiality is the responsibility of everyone who cares for the client.
