A. Enough is enough, I take the opportunity to let them know loud and clearly exactly what I think about them and their behavior. I believe that the only way to become World-Class is by working closely together and supporting each other.
B. This is a problem with no quick fix. I wait and see how I can support the team members to find their way to a better collaboration. Obviously I can’t force people to like each other and I can’t demand people to do other people’s job.
C. I put together some cross functional assignments in order to get the team members from the different groups to get to know each other better, even though I know it may create tension in the team. I don’t mention the group differences and conflicts as that may make things worse.
D. I ask two other department managers if they share my observations and ask if they can do anything to make the collaboration stronger.
