I leave contract reviews to the legal team, no risk checking for me.

I'm fully responsible for ensuring contracts minimize risk exposure. Legalese beware!

That is some other unfortunate soles job

I let the finance people handle that.

I am paid to imagine the worst-case scenarios and still find a way to smile about it.

Are you involved in business continuity planning?

I’m more of a spectator when the plans were formed.

I share ideas and support the team working on the plan.

I know and helped create plan A, Plan B, Plan C, Plan D....

Do you manage vendor or contractor risks?

I leave vendor and contractor risk to others.

I sometimes review vendor risks alongside another team.

My day is easier when 3rd parties follow the rules.

How much do you manage or influence the insurance policies or risk financing at your company?

Insurance policies? Not my circus, not my monkeys.

I provide input occasionally, but I’m not the policy boss.

I negotiate risk financing deals like a pro and all the brokers want to talk with me.

How involved are you in setting safety and security protocols or standards to protect your workplace?

Not involved; that’s someone else’s job.

I help out occasionally when asked.

I mostly create and enforce these protocols myself.

How often do you review or update your company’s risk appetite or tolerance levels?

Not at all; I’m still figuring out what ‘risk appetite’ even means.

We discuss it periodically as a team.
