Basic Navigation - Gamma (Short Form 1) - Instructions | IQTestBrain.com

Instructions:

This test contains 12 items. You will have 3 minutes to complete as many items as possible.

Each item consists of a 6x6 grid and a set of instructions.  The horizontal axis of the grid is marked by the letters A-F.  The vertical axis is marked by the numbers 1-6.  Locations within the grid are stated in terms of the horizontal then vertical axis (e.g., F5).

Within each grid you will see several objects.  Objects cannot occupy the same space in the grid nor can they cross each other.

Below the grid is a set of instructions.  The instructions refer to an object's movements.  These may include both forward and backward movements, and rotations anywhere from 45-360 degrees.  There are no diagonal movements.

After imagining the movements and rotations performed by the object, you must state the objects location and direction.  The cell location followed by the direction must be typed as a string.  For example, C5NW would mean that the object's final location is cell C5 and North West is the direction the object is facing.

Please proceed to a few practice items, when you are ready.  Your responses to these practice items will not count towards your final score.  The practice items are simply so you can become familiarized with the types of problems on the test beforehand.  The test will begin immediately after you respond to the final practice item.
