  Suit up for Comic Surge on Saturday, October 9th at Jessamine County Public Library   Comic Surge, Jessamine County Public Library’s annual comic con event, returns to JCPL on Saturday, October 9. Each year, the library invites the community to get their geek on and fuel their fandom with this fun, free event. Comic Surge combines all the elements of a larger comic con – vendor and artist booths, costumed characters, live performances, gaming, vehicles and props, an art exhibit and a professionally judged costume contest – with the welcoming, thoughtful atmosphere of your public library. Attendees are welcome to don their best cosplay (i.e. Costumes from a favorite book, movie, video game or fandom) and participate in the costume contest.
