Life is complicated. It’s probably nothing to do with me. Plenty more fish in the sea!

Why does this always happen to me?

I don’t care anyway. They just beat me to it.

I’ve screwed up again and I don’t even know why. What is wrong with me? Why can’t I be a normal person?

What have your past relationships been like?

I’ve had several good relationships and I’ve enjoyed them/I've had one or two really long ones and enjoyed them

I seem drawn to distant people who mess me around

I’m a very independent person and I value my freedom. Anyone I’m with needs to respect this

They tend to be passionate, stormy and sometimes end up abusive.

How do your breakups (whether long or short term) tend to go?

All good things come to an end. We drift apart or end up as friends

They pull away and I seem to be the only one trying to make it work

They say I’m too distant and want something more intense, or they smother me until I have to go

They tend to end in a fight and then I have so many regrets

..do you make friends easily?

Of course

I feel like I need to work at friendships and I’m always the one trying to arrange get togethers and do things. I’m a great friend, but sometimes I feel like others don’t appreciate me and all I do for them.

I see myself as more of a lone wolf.

It’s hard for me to find people I connect with easily. They either don’t want to get close or they are driving me crazy

Someone ghosts you then pops back up with a message a month later. What’s your first thought?

Life is complicated, they probably had something to deal with

Why is everyone such an unreliable F-boy/girl? I have value you know

Whatever. I’ll just not respond

People are so confusing. Everyone thinks they are a player and you can’t trust anyone. I’ll give them a piece of my mind

What draws you to the swing scene?

I want to meet fun people and share adventures with friends or my partner

I want to feel sexy and confident and I’d like to meet a loving partner to have adventures, passion and intensity with

I’d like to have sex with lots of people without anyone expecting a commitment from me

I feel like I don’t quite fit in in the monogamous vanilla world. I’d like sex and connections but monogamy seems to always end badly for me

What do you think people most likely think/say behind your back?

That I’m lovely

You start to 'get feels' for a friend with benefits. You:

Try our a few ideas/conversations to get an inkling of whether they feel the same

Try to spend more time with them and do nice things for them to show you’d be good relationship material for them

Unlikely, but if I did I’d probably back off a bit and try to date around more to keep things on the level

Start imagining situations and conversations in detail, and how you can get them to like you by showing them ways you make up for your flaws by being awesome

Would you want a relationship with someone you met on the swing scene?

Maybe, you can meet the right person anywhere

Yes, I’m looking to be a swinging couple / no, I would want us both to leave if I did
