You’re going to an event in the next town. How do you intend to get there?
A. Is there a train that goes there? That would be fastest. And probably the most comfortable.
B. I’d prefer to go by carriage the night before and stay in town, so as not to be rushed on the day.
C. Hiring a beetle buggy is always reliable and cost-effective!
D. If it’s just a short hop over, it could be fun to make that literal and take a cricket! Boing boing!
E. Heck, I’ll walk. Walking is free, and you never know who you’ll meet on the road.
F. I’ll challenge a friend to a race and run! Then I might be able to win some money while I’m at it.
G. Do I have to go? Can I take a private cab? The roads are always so crowded…
The event is a major harvest festival. What’s the first thing you want to do there?
A. Are there rides? I hear a Steeplechase Hornet can go up to 40 miles per hour!
B. I’d like to see the vegetable competition. It’s nice to see what folks have worked so hard to grow.
C. Obviously the first thing to do is to do a circuit of the whole affair to see what’s on offer.
D. I’ll bet there are musical and theatrical performances on! Can’t miss those.
E. I’d like to browse the wares of the shops, before everything’s been picked over.
F. I’m going to eat caramel corn and drink sarsaparilla until I throw up. And funnel cake!
G. I probably know someone there. Ought to try to find them so we can spend the day together.
What’s most important to you as the festival winds down?
A. Should try to leave before everyone else gets the same idea. Then I’ll have the road to myself!
B. The fireworks show! It’s the perfect way to finish a day: with a bang!
C. It’s important to make an offering to the harvest god being honored. One last goodnight.
D. Now’s the time to do some last-minute shopping, as stuff goes on sale before closing time.
E. Check the map so I can be sure I haven’t missed out on anything!
F. Gonna try to get one last ride in! That’s the whole point of coming, right?
G. The closing parade has to be the greatest spectacle. All the beautiful lanterns and lightningbugs.
As you’re leaving, you see someone getting pickpocketed. They haven’t noticed. What do you do?
A. Pickpocket the pickpocket and give the money back to the victim! Turnabout is fair play!
B. Best not to get involved. Rough characters like that can be dangerous.
C. If I saw them do it, that pickpocket is a rookie! Call them out for shoddy work!
D. Tell a constable immediately. They’ll sort it out.
E. Loudly tell the victim that the pickpocket “found” their wallet. Most crooks fold when caught.
F. Confront the pickpocket quietly, and give them the chance to do the right thing. Or else.
G. Trip the pickpocket. They had it coming to them.
When you get home, there’s something in your bag that you don’t recognize. What do you do think?
A. This must have been a gift from a friend. I’ll have to work out who gave it to me, to thank them.
B. First order of business is to figure out what the thing is, even if it takes me a while.
C. Did someone plant this on me? What is it?? Better get rid of it, just in case!
D. Hey, free stuff! Maybe I can sell it?
E. Maybe it was a freebie that came with something I bought? Oh well, into the drawer it goes!
F. I don’t remember buying this, but I must have done. I’m sure I’ll find some use for it in time!
G. Oh no, I picked up someone else’s shopping by mistake! I’ll have to write the festival organizers!
The object seems to have some magical properties. How do you investigate it?
A. I’ll put out an offering to a small god, in the hopes they can tell me more.
B. I’ll take it to a divination expert! They should at least be able to tell me where it came from.
C. Put it in a warded box until I can bring it to someone I trust, in case it’s a trap.
D. I’ll throw everything I have at it, obviously, to see what happens!
E. Enchanted objects are works of art. I’ll have it appraised. That should be informative.
F. If I can’t identify it with my own magic, I’ll put it aside until I’ve grown strong enough to do so.
G. Time to hit the books to see if I can work out what the inscriptions mean, at least.
How do you take your tea?
A. With lemon.
B. With molasses.
C. With two spoons of honey and a splash of coconut.
D. With spices.
E. Just one cube of sugar, thank you. And the coconut must go first.
F. Black.
G. I don’t like tea.
