What do you remember?
Blood, so much blood, red drying on the walls, on my hands, blood staining my clothes, staining my mind. I remember the sound of bone crunching under my feet. The air tastes like metal and power.
The cold. Blue fingertips, numb and freezing. Stumbling around in the darkness, blind and deaf. The cold lingers in the spaces between my bones.
Their smiles, wide and broken and wrong wrong WRONG. I remember screaming and screaming, but no one ever answered. I looked in the mirror, and I was smiling too. Why does my mouth taste like salt?
A gas station, alone on an old dirt road near an even older cornfield. There's something click-clacking in the walls around me. I hear children laughing. I close my eyes and try not to cry when the spiderwebs at my feet start to creep up my legs.
Fire and flames. I was happy once, wasn't I? I can remember the warmth of a drink, maybe hot chocolate. I hear chanting. My floor is covered in scorch marks.
