Machine Shop Operations: Help with scheduling Machine time with management. (This happens by knowing run times for parts that comes from Machine Process Sheets. The machinist will also have to be able to judge what set up time, part change over , and run time will be to give management an accurate over all run time of a project as a whole.)

Project Preparation: Able to receive an order and do a full process to machine parts. This includes: 1. Locate a machine process sheet 2. Locate the Part drawing file if needed 3. Locate the Part NC file and get it to the machine 4. Locate fixtures , vices, or lathe jaws for the project 5. Locate tooling for the project 6. Locate raw material for the project 7. Keep track of raw materials to turn in usage of materials to management

Set up the CNC Mill: 1. Locate fixtures and vices in the mill and indicate them in when needed 2. Use the Renishaw probe to touch off on parts and set Work Coordinances 3. Install tooling into the machine and use the tool setting probe to locate them in the machine

Set up the Lathe: 1. Locate Jaws and other fixtures and know how to install them correctly in the lathe 2. Locate tooling for the lathe and use the tool probe to locate them in the Lathe 3. Install live tooling into the lathe correctly 4. Find center of tool pockets using a dial bore gauge and set the pockets into the machine control for use

Run the parts on the Lathe: 1. Understands all of the safety precautions that go along with the Lathe 2. Use a Haas Control and navigate through the control panel easily 3. Uses calipers, micrometers, dial bore gauges, work probe and other tools to check tolerance of parts that are being ran with the Lathe 4. Strong understanding of how to use cutter compensation to bring parts into the correct tolerance using them 5. Knows when and what to inspect on each part before the part is pulled from the Lathe

Inspection and Organization: 1. Knows how to inspect parts using different inspection tools to make sure that each part is with in spec of an inspection sheet 2. Follows the filing system on the computer network of where to store Machine Process sheets, Inspection Sheets, Part Drawing files, Part NC files and other information 3. Recognizes when something is missing or could be improved to help with organization and creates what ever is needed to fill that gap. (Examples = Missing inspection sheet, Machine Process Sheet with missing info, The Process that we are doing something could be improved, The way we are machining things could be improved, A piece of equipment is in the wrong spot in the shop for good efficiency)
