Opening up reception but asking clients to continue to wait out side prior to their appointment

If clients continue to wait outside prior to their appt, do you think hand held buzzer alerts would speed up locating your client/patient? (Client is given a buzzer when they 'check in'. The client is told to approach the ramp when the buzzer goes off.
