What do you think about the unreliable narrator trope in movies?
I find it annoying as I struggle to understand what is truly happening in the story, what parts of it are real and which are fake.
I enjoy it as it makes the protagonist or narrator them self a much more interesting or complex person.
I've watched films with the trope before and found them more interesting as you have to pay more attention to details throughout the film to fully grasp the story.
I've watched films with the trope before and found myself frustrated when the ending or conclusion didn't add up with what was being shown in the movie.
Would a film about dreaming through the perspective of an unreliable narrator interest you?
No, I think because of how silly and absurd dreams can be, the audience would be able to tell or realize it straight away, making the rest of the movie experience boring.
Yes, because when most people dream, you end up believing everything that is happening around you to be reality, which would be interesting to see through the protagonists' perspective.
Yes, because I like films of the psychological thriller genre.
No, this film doesn't interest me at all.
