How complex do you like day to day life of your character to be?
Simple. Do not make me tell you every time I eat.
Simple, but I do not mind you making me keep track of my water in the middle of a desert.
Complex: make me find medicine and food as a medium priority
Very complex: Make sure that dying of hunger or exposure is a real danger.
How depressing/hard should life be for an adventurer?
Little: let me have some goddamn escapism.
Simple: let's have tragic moments, but only to spice life up.
Medium: I do want a happy ending, but make us earn it.
Hard: My character must be forged in the fires of hell if it wants to reign over it.
Nightmare mode.
