Collaboration
Involves the act of sharing ideas and working with another or others on a group project
Synectics-
A creative thinking technique that joins together fundamentally different and often incongruous elements through analogical thinking. This was developed in to 1950’s as a means to advance creative thinking, especially in group work, through the use of analogies and metaphor.
Analyzing
Ability to examine carefully and in detail so as to identify causes, key factors, and possible results.
Critique/Evaluation
To analyze, think, and provide an assessment for the purpose of continuous improvement.
Divergent Thinking
Involves a non-sequential thought process or method allowing ideas to flow freely with no anticipated result.
Visualization
The process of making something perceptible to the mind or imagination.
Incubation
A passive subconscious aspect of the creative process that allows ideas to reshape over time.
Intuition
Knowledge or belief based on instinctual feeling rather than conscious reasoning or perception.
Brainstorming
Normally collaborative, these sessions are designed to generate a large number of ideas.
Concept
Intended meaning within art and design fields.
Creativity
The ability to transcend traditional ideas, rules, patterns, relationships, or the like, and to create meaningful new ideas. The production of something novel
Curiosity
Motivation for inquisitive behavior.
Fluency
The ability to think of many diverse ideas quickly
