Fresh water for long voyages on ships.
Sails and ropes for the boats.
Rosin and sap to seal the ships and not leak.

What is a militia?
An army made from highly trained fighters.

What is a vigilante?
A suppressor of crime that is not qualified by the government.
A body guard for a particular government official.
What is a tariff?
If tar is leaked into a body of water.
A tax that has to be paid on imports and goods.
What is a charter?
A charter is written to give a person or group specific rights.
A business that proposes to deliver letters and mail faster for a cheaper price.
What is a quitrent?
An annual rent or tax.
When somebody decides to quit paying rent.
What is an embargo?
An official ban on trade or activity with another country.
A tax on a perishable item.
What is a squatter?
Somebody that takes another one's money for something they want.
A person that occupies an area or place that they do not own.
