Your house is on fire. What do you save?
My motorcycle.
I probably don't notice the fire even started, and die surrounded by my beloved possessions. Hell, I probably wouldn't have been able to decide what to take and what to leave.
My shelf of rare books and my diploma.
I'd be grabbing every sentimental gift I've ever been given, that are cluttering up my room as it is.
My jewelry box and journal.
My five cats.
You're making the weekly grocery run. What does your haul look like?
Just basics: flour, milk, a few kinds of vegetables. Lots of baking staples, like yeast and sugar.
Groceries? Me? I live on takeout, nicotine, liquor, and maybe a case of eggs and milk.
My sister cooks for me, I don't have time for grocery runs.
I keep a well stocked pantry. Every food group, and some extra in case friends come calling.
I get enough to make my own meals, plus ingredients for little treats I make for my coworkers. I want to make sure everybody gets a snack during a stressful day.
My garden provides most of what I need to eat at home. I go for whatever I can't grow myself.
How do you deal with a breakup?
Smash things in my house. Blatantly self-destruct.
Curl up into myself, cry, and miss whomever it was that I handed my whole heart to only to have it crushed miserably.
I'm not very public in my relationships, and I am not very expressive in my grief at losing one. I'd take some time off work for myself, and allow myself the space to feel the sadness and let it pass.
Call them incessantly and try to win them back, and when that doesn't work, cry on the shoulders of my many close friends until I'm over it.
I'm happily married, my wife would NEVER.
Be morose and tearful, wonder what is wrong and unlikable about myself. I'd try to forget about it by offering to give other people advice and absorb myself in a project until I'm distracted enough to smile.
What time of day do you get the most done?
Early morning, but I'm never awake to take advantage of it.
At precisely 2:54am with a deadline hard on my heels and only adrenaline to fuel me.
In the evening, when I can sit down at my personal home desk and make copious notes.
In the late morning hours before I take my lunch break.
Time isn't a significant factor in my productivity. I'm always bouncing.
After lunch. I prefer to be inside in the afternoons, and I always work better after a meal.
You're at a bar. Drink of choice?
Straight vodka, if I have to pick. Unless my grandmother's home brewed ţuică is available-- in which case, I'll take that.
I don't drink, thank you.
I'm a lightweight, so I drink liquor mixed with soda.
Beer
White wine
Hard cider
Pick a social media (this is set in the 20's but I'm projecting)
Tumblr
Facebook
Pinterest
I do not use social media and I like it that way.
Instagram
Twitter
What is your greatest fear?
Being powerless. (Unless you've gained my trust, then I'm Into It ;)
Failure and the shame that comes with it.
Losing a loved one.
Letting down people depending on me for support.
Wasting my life.
Losing my independence.
Which is worse: making a mistake or not having tried at all?
Mistake
Missed opportunity
Who's your favorite biological family member?
I was adopted; I don't know.
I don't speak to them often, but if I had to pick: my father.
My grandmother.
My grandfather.
I love my Mum. I miss her every day.
My sister.
Favorite hobby outside of your job?
Sewing and cross stitch
I don't have hobbies, I am too devoted to my academic career. (This is a lie. You bake.)
Writing original projects
Home improvement
Reading novels
Modding my motorcycle
Partner goals?
I have everything I could ever want in my wife.
I don't date. (This is a lie that you tell to cover up the fact that you're extremely gay and you're into Stronk guys that could Yeet you into the next county).
Someone who will enable my pranks.
I just need a Dashing Nerd in my life.
Someone that won't ask me to give up my hard-earned position for them, preferably a friend with benefits if it came to that.
Somebody I would trust with my life. I've been with too many people who've used me, I can't tolerate that shit in a partner.
When faced with crisis, you...
Turn to logic and organization.
Space out and have a panic attack for several hours.
Solve it with your three f's: fight it, flee it, or fuck it.
Cry and have a brief meltdown.
Flip a table in silent rage and frustration, then return to normal.
Process your emotions verbally, stream-of-consciousness style
