Is stimming bad?
Yes, it's dangerous
No, but it can disturb others.
Yes, it's weird
No, as long as it doesn't harm the person.
In most cases, some stims will just slightly disturb the people around you. It's possible to train yourself to stim in a different way, but to stop someone from stimming completely can have a negative impact like anxiety, stress and difficulties focusing.

Neurodivergent people who suppress their stims and quirks in order to fit in or not get bullied often get depression and chronic fatigue at some point.

Last question! What are good ways to react someone else's stim?
Ignore it
Laugh at them
Point it out or tell them to stop
If they seem anxious, ask them how they're doing.
If someone's stim disturbs you from your work then it's alright to notify them. But before that, try to understand why they're doing it in the first place.
Telling someone to stop when they're trying to avoid a meltdown, showing excitement, or trying to focus isn't very smart.

Usually the best way is to ignore it, maybe put on some headphones!

Creating a common understanding that we all deal with emotions and environments differently is the key to social acceptance and helps neurodivergent people live a less stressful life.
